Please pray for the Avanti Mission trip to Nepal and India that starts up in the next few days time. A number of years ago, Michael Wright (Missionary to Cyprus that led me to Christ in Nicosia Central Prison) led Karna Lal Pandey to Christ. Karna has since been instrumental in setting up a ministry base for Avanti Ministries in Kathmandu, translated and distributed Taming the Tiger in Nepalese, and organised a major campaign across the nation’s capital with the close assistance and support of Robert Quay, Avanti Director for Asia Pacific (based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). Our Founding Director, Tony Anthony found a great new, fun and free way to share the Gospel Message in high definition!!! On a trip to the Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, London in the Apple Store he not only flooded the place with tracts but he was also able to set up the multimedia Gospel message on several iMac’s, iPad’s, MacBook Air and even an Apple Thunderbolt Display unit in clear view for people to watch. Many people just stood there taking the whole message in, which was brilliant – especially as the graphics of the programme have been designed to such a high standard. Writing to you from Paris where some of the Avanti team (John Lawson, Tim Raggett, Naomi Spurgeon, Cindy Sauvain and Tony Anthony) are serving this weekend. Our initial contact came through a wonderful group that we served with in French Guyana that have set up a church plant that minister largely to the Muslim population through something called “La Casbah” (www.agape-mosaique.org).The mission was successfully co-ordinated by local Pastor Bernard Teyssedou. The Slavic Missionary Bible School Jail Ministry Leader, Tanya Kanifolsky, was able to make a last minutes arrangement for Tony Anthony to join a team of 12 Bible students that was visiting the Duval County Juvenile Facility Centre in Jacksonville, Florida.

This was probably the youngest group of inmates that Tony has ever spoken to in all his travels. Read more →

Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts.

This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring rain.

The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, ‘OK, dad, I’m ready.’
