Short and Long Term Mission Opportunities

Avanti Ministries can offer you a life-changing experience which will totally alter your view of the world. This is your opportunity to go on a short-term (1 week to 3 months) or long-term (3 months to 12 months) overseas trip. There may be opportunities for you to live and work in another country and culture. Opportunities exist for individuals, churches and youth groups.

The benefits of a short-term mission to you are as follows:

• to expose yourself to a ministry that may enrich your vision, passion to serve God for the rest of your life
• to teach you how to share the Gospel
• to teach you techniques and methods in how to share your faith in a meaningful and biblical way
• to teach you the fundamentals about evangelism and to experience for yourself what the Great Commission means in a worldwide context
• to help you gain experience in evangelism in a new environment by working alongside experienced full time evangelists
• broaden your view of the world that we live in, and the way in which others live
• develop language and communication skills

The benefits of a long-term mission to you are as follows:

• to teach you how to teach others how to share the Gospel
• to teach you how to teach others the fundamentals about evangelism
• to show you how to establish and sustain overseas missions
• to help you develop your own evangelistic resources

Basic requirements before you start

You will need to:

• have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• be aged 18 years or over
• have a heart for reaching lost souls with the Gospel
• have flexibility, adaptability and perseverance
• willingness to get out of your comfort zone
• be teachable
• have the support of your local church

We are keen to respond to the requests that we receive from around the world, which could come from as close as the neighbourhood on our doorstep to as far as the ends of the earth.

Costs

Costs may vary, depending on length of the trip, location and flight costs.

If you meet the criteria above there are opportunities to come to work in the UK for up to 3 months. You will need to raise funds for your air fare, visa and all other related costs.

Where

Avanti Ministries are operating in many parts of the world, most especially those areas where open air preaching is permitted (or at least not actively persecuted). There are national branches in some of these countries, those in which we have established resident workers and ministries. In many other lands we are also involved in regular ministry, in some of these working towards the establishment of a national branch.
